    College!

WHY, oh why, do people call it "collage"? In texts, emails, bebo..."yep, can't wait to go back to collage...."

It drives me up the WALL.

Indeed, there/their/they're. I know they all sound the same but it bugs me when people can't differentiate between them.
Even in business mails I see this, although not nearly as often as on boards.

to/too/two so so somple but so many people get them confused, it's rather annoying

also, but not to the same degree: there/their/they're

    there: look over there
    their: it's their ball
    they're: they're going home

americanised spellings also piss me off. it's centre, not center

My eyes hurt. Why would you do such a thing?!

I also hate it when people put an apostrophe before the letter "s" when they're using plurals of nouns. Like, wtf?!

    Like tattoo's? :)

Another pet peeve of mine is unusual plurals, like mother-in-laws and Bertie's favourite, Minister of States. It's Ministers of State, you semi-literate cretin.

    To whom it may concern:

    "Ridiculous".

It is not "rediculus" you idiots or any variant thereof. There's no goddamn "e" in it.

Please take 5 minutes to sear the correct spelling into your brain, you cro-magnon morons.

    Thank you.

Top of my list is the people who can't understand the most basic of English, and constantly mix up "then" and "than".

You got there just before me! I came back into this thread just to make that point.

Also, people who order a round of "points" instead of pints should be smacked about the face with wet rubber gloves.

I hate it when people spell "lose" as "loose". There are about three people on the internet who spell it correctly.
