Im reading some info I got recently from the ICAI.

"Membership of the ICAI is important as it allows you to promote yourself as a ‘Chartered Accountant’ and not simply a ‘Qualified Accountant’. "

So what exactly is the difference?
Cant ACCA members call themselves charted too? Association of Certified Chartered Accountants?

There is no difference really, just a difference in 'title'

    ICAI Member = 'Chartered Accountant'
ACCA Member = 'Chartered Certified Accountant'

I wouldn't get too hung up on 'what you can call yourself' after you qualify.

The letters after your name willl say it all.
