I have an eircom.net e mail address and it stopped working in outlook two days ago. I can read the emails online but not with outlook or outlook express. Have eircom changed any settings or server names, I am using pop3 mail1.eircom.net for incoming and outgoing. As far as i can tell i can send just not receive mail
    Thanks for your help Bob

sometimes happens to me that Outlook loses its settings...maybe Eircom have changed the pop3 server address? have you checked their site FAQ's?

I noticed this as well the other day, it seems they have changed the name of their pop3 server to webmail.eircom.net. If you update your e-mail client to pick up mail from webmail.eircom.net instead of mail1.eircom.net it should work.

I had this too and posted the solution re change to webmail.eircom.net in when i found it. It worked on some accounts but now other accounts are popping up a box in windows mail asking for password but not accepting it?

Changing the mail1.eircom.net to webmail.eircom.net worked for a day but stopped again
