Ok, first, please dont use all caps, its the equivelant of shouting when used online.

Secondly, if we like you, the PTP may offer you a place on the team. It would mean getting our camo and patch(Tigerstripe and a pirate patch, it comes to a total of around €40 depending on the exchange rate), and a Black or Woodland Tacvest(if you want a tacvest, I never wear mine), we're not picky. Anything semi modern/modern will do, ie. no thompsons or MP40s but 1911s are fine. Headgear, we have caps but you can choose what you want to use.

Yup , Sozz bout that . Anyway when you say it comes to a total of 40euro do you mean you guys will buy it and ill buy it form you or I'll have to find it ? Both way are fine with me.
Yup i have my eye on a black south African assault vest and an m4 cqb/r .
Do you guys have a website ? Is there a joining fee etc.

Your site looks awesome ! I might be able to go to hrta on Saturday but I'll only have my m4 , vest and i don't know were to get that camo . But i have a good bit of money saved so i will get it first chance i get if you guys decide to recruit me . Were are you guys based ? I'm in Castleknock .

At the moment we are Churchtown, Rathgfarnham and Firhouse but as we skirmish at HRTA and Fingal mostly once you can get there it doesnt really matter.

The Tigerstripe I order. If we buy 2 or more we get 10% off the total cost so it comes to €36 and then its a few bob for the patch. I'll sew that on and then give it to you ready to skirmish. I wont be at HRTA this saturday, and next week I hope to be at the Salute show, maybe the week after I'll try to get out. Want to do a proper skirmish with my new sig and the belt rig that is on its way to me right now.

Kevteljeur isn't a know-it-all mod.

In fact, he isn't even a mod at all. You might want to check under peoples usernames in future.

This is a discussion forum. If you want to just 'talk to your friends' you might want to consider using MSN.

There's actually an entire sub-forum dedicated to these questions. What kevteljeur means is this is the one place on the forum where we can discuss things not about airsoft. It's kind of an airsoft free zone, like the break room in work. Sure it's in work and your co-workers are there, but it's not the place you talk shop, it's your little refuge from the regular talk.

Sort of like this:

Anyone else think it's great that these two songs were played back to back on Virgin Radio earlier? The link is tenuous but I like to think they're singing about each other....

It made me believe in Kevin Costner. Until then, I felt he was a nobody, just like me. But after that, I knew that if you try hard enough, if you really believe, then greatness can be yours.

I'm actually talking to Kevin Costner when I'm airsofting. I've got him on a secret channel on my radio, he offers me tactical advice and moral support. Sometimes he offers tactical support and moral advice. Other times he tells me when he's dropped off the post... (gettit?)

Ok, on the previous page we established that both Katy Perry and Ida Maria are sexy and may possibly have a thing for each other based on my wild accusations and unfounded theories that they're singing to each other in those songs.

Katy Perry has presented her rebuttal, and what a awesome rebuttal she has I might add. Apparently she's got a kick ass sense of humour to go with that rebuttal.

There's not that many rules, the off-topic thing isn't a rule tbh, it's just the topic of the off-topic thread is to be off-topic and not on-topic for the forum

I would assume kev was being only half-serious, but there is a seperate forum for getting started type questions such as those you posted here.

The other rules like no shooting animals etc... are there for a reason though, either legality or just for the general good of airsoft.

I wasn't trying to backseat mod or be sarcastic, just some friendly advice on where to ask questions. I fear it wasn't taken in the friendly spirit it was intended to be taken. The airsoft forums have been much easier to use since The Big Cleanup.

And the 'Airsoft Getting Started' really is a better place to ask than have a chat in the 'Off-topic' thread. None of that is about rules or anything, just common understandings.

Anyway, let's get back to talking about rubbidges.

Lads, I propose we come up with a serious and concise charter for the of topic thread.

Some may say this is a relaxed place for banter and doesn't need rules, but they'd be wrong, DEAD wrong.

I propose a charter, and a dedicated deputy mod team to aggresively defend it, imposing harsh bans and issuing verbal punishment beatings to those who breach this charter.

I am away from the forum for a few days and looks what happens, ON-topic madness.

We need rules, and we need them now!
