Is anyone else having any issues signing in to their eircom.net accounts? I know they are upgrading the thing at the moment.

You may have been moved on the server side of things...
if you recently got a mail saying you were scheduled to be moved to the new Webmail, you need to configure your incoming mail server as webmail.eircom.net, leave the outgoing server as mail1.eircom.net..

I had to call a Premium rate number 1530 277 100 and I was indeed changed to the new email server and new look website. They had changed my password and not let me know . Anyway sorted now and have to say I like the new look.

I have a quick question. I use Windows Live for my eircom account. Whilst it's fine to send and recieve with an eircom connection, if I use a non-eircom connection such as a internet cafe, I can only recieve and not send. I'm moving from Ireland in 2 weeks and I'd much prefer to use Windows Live rather than Webmail. Can any one suggest how I could adjust my POP3 settings in Windows Live to send emails?

Use a gmail account to avail of google's open smtp server.

The reason you cannot send emails when using a non-Eircom connection is the fact that your SMTP server is set up as Eircom's one who don't allow access from a non-Eircom connection to stop spam etc through their network.

When you move abroad, you should change the SMTP server to that of whatever ISP you are connected to.
