Better late than never this week, eh? Thanks for all the good wishes we received - much appreciated. Hope to see many of you over the next few weeks for some drinks down at Electric City. The Electricityship rolled into gear last week but with a distinct lack of fighting spirit with people willing to back their footballing knowledge with Euros. Deadline extended to before Gamesweek 2 kicks off and after that, all non-payers will be redirected to the Community Ga-ames.

This week brings together the sound of three cities: Barcelona, Berlin and Dublin with Irish producers/DJs Metrotek [Station F/Dublin & Hoito/Berlin] and guest DJ from Barcelona, Grasshoppa.

Metrotek continue to forge their way to the front of Irish techno, collaborating in Dublin (Station F) and Berlin (Hoito). Playing a live set comprising mainly original tracks, their sound blends funky minimal with driving techno. Their live show mixes analog and digital technology using laptops, modular synths, circuits and sequencers. This is their third live set at EC.

Grasshoppa is one of the founders of Blue Sky Underground, a collective that started making parties in Barcelona in 2005. He shares the decks with Paco Osuna, Funk d'void, Lester, Gustavo Lopez, Carole and many more playing private parties and after hours in Barcelona as well as clubs like City Hall (www.ottozutz.es), Mochima club (www.mochimabar.com) and Zentraus (www.zentraus.com). This is his second performance in Ireland. "His forceful minimal style delights the dancefloor with tasteful beats and elegant techno."

Stephen Donaldson from the notorious Little Rascals crew will be kicking it off. Much to the delight of the home following.
