o.k. guys just got this e-mail maybe some of you have got it also.

what is the answer:

There is a bus with 7 Girls in it
Each girl carries 7 bags
Inside each bag there is 7 cats
Every cat has 7 kittens
All cats and kittens have 4 legs each

Question: How many legs are in the bus?

Hard to say really. Usually it would be "there is a bus travelling to..." and that would insinuate a driver. As it stand it could just be a bus parked up somewhere. . These type of riddles start off properly but tend to get distorted over time

I think it's possible the OP got the question wrong though, as I've heard this riddle before, and it's always be "on the bus" and the answer has always been what DizzyBlonde said.

Otherwise it's not a riddle, it's just arithmetic.

Inside each bag there is 7 cats...Every cat has 7 kittens - Useless information as there is still only 7 bags with 7 cats per girl. (The kittens are still cats too - only not on the bus)
49 Cats * 7 Girls = > 343 Cats * 4 legs => 1372 Cat legs +14 Girls legs = 1386 legs total.
