    Michael O'Leary does.

    That's probably why he's so hated. Plus he's a short-arse.

He comes across as an objectionable and crass cnut.

Outside of his undoubted business skills, I get the feeling that Ryanair has become a massive success despite his outbursts and stunts, rather than because of them.

I think he's mad funny tbh. I've a lot of respect for what he's done with Ryanair. He brought them from a nothing company to one of the biggest airlines in Europe.

I think he's great. Hearing a slightly angry man calling the last two remaining passengers to the gate only to find that it's Michael O' Leary calling them is priceless.

The man makes a lot of money out of a company that many complain about but few turn their backs on. Genius.

Can't you really? Surely you can see how much of a prick he comes across as?

Excellent businessman yes, and a vibrant persona, but that doesn't make the person he comes across as any less contemptible.

He's not popular but he is admirable because of what he has achieved. Imagine what he might achieve if he was put in charge of the health service or finance. I don't think he is afraid to make unpopular decisions for the long term good.

Bit of a wánker, but other than that nice and entertaining.

I'd rather not, he's do anything to make money for himself somehow.

    Ireland "Low budget healthcare" ughhh.

Although I don't like him, this makes me laugh. I recall him (or some other Ryanair bigwig) being asked about canceled flights and their answer was along the lines of what do you fcuking expect for 20 quid.

You bought the ticket, therefore you condone the business practice.

That's why I honestly try and avoid flying Ryanair unless I'm really stuck or the price difference is more than 50%.

I like him. He's created a successful business by charging next to nothing for a basic service, in a time when most business success in ireland is down to ripping people off because the nation would pay inflated prices.

People bitching about the company when they chose them confuses me. What really annoys me is people that give out about the rip off republic saying 'oh its so much cheaper for this and that in england or in europe' and then complain about their tea not being hot enough on a ryanair flight that cost them a tenner.

can anyone tell me what he has done wrong.

when you see people crying at xmas because the gate number for a flight has changed and they werent told....and the plane didnt wait for 15 ppl....
Mental....Also the amount of charges he puts on everything if you do the math its the same price to go with another Airline why not go where their is better service.....people are luled into a false sense of "hey got the flight for a tener"

That is a good point, got the flight for a tenner but the transfer to the city (or country) i wanted to go to is gonna cost €50.

But everyone bitches about O'Leary because of this, yet he doesnt claim to drop you to the centre of every city, or provide you with champagne and roast dinners on the way.

But thats like saying awh a bus wouldnt wait for me. For every minute a plane is delayed it costs serious money.
The whole idea of ryannair is you pay for what you get. ye get charged to put a bag in the luggage. so what, ye get charged to carry a bicycle on a bus. Added weight means more fuel. When you buy a ticket with ryanair ye pay for you, not yer bags.
I think people just jump on the hate bandwagon when it comes to him. i always challenge people that attack him, not 1 person has ever been able to criticise him with just cause

    LOL really.

    well then thats's game over.

so tell me how exactly do you get to the top without being forceful? and how is being a bully? by expecting people to do their job?

What about Alan Sugar or another irish example Denis O'Leary?

You are basing your decision on what the tabloids tell you.

You dont know the man, you dont how he works.

If it wasnt for him we would still be paying €300/400 to fly to england.

so whist the lot of your with eye green monster

With Ryanair, sometimes you still are, by the time you add on all the extras and the sterling price of getting where you really want to go.
