There is still an air of wanker off him....

He'd still walk into the starting eleven of Liverpool, stinkin' of wanker, and it'd be a savage improvement.

karma, would you not agree that he would be a serious addition to our forst 11?

i think all other opinion should be forgotten IF it is for the good of the team.

Im not a big fan of him but he is a class player and i think he would fit in perfectly. Unfortunatly i cant see chelsea selling him, I think SWP will go first.

So does half our team.. Joe Cole has Premiership medals, that's what we want now.

    So does John OShea.
    In fact he has loads.

Would you swap him for Carra?!

    You know what I meant.
Any player can win amedal in the right squad.

    If he fits in.
I've no problem in admitting that he's an amazing talent.
I just think that the most talented player in the world could be useless if he causes disharmony in the team.

Cole knows he'd be in with a decent chance of getting one of those elusive CL medals with Liverpool.

Echo mentions Voronin/Pennant sale deals looking to be tied up this week.

When has Cole caused disharmony in a team ? I know hes not the most likable guy but a team of 11 nice guys wont necessarily win anything.

Is Adebayor a nice guy ? What about Ronaldo or John Terry? Eto'o ? Football ability should come first, being a nice guy is a bonus.

I'd have to disagree there. He only missed out on one through penalites last season and there's no reason to think that Chelsea can't go all the way in the CL this year. They certainly have as much chance as Liveproll given their squad etc.

Can't see him moving to Liverpool, seems happy at Chelsea now and he's a London lad born and bred.

He is a great player though.

I can't see Cole leaving for Liverpool - and we've had enough of Liverpool-English-player transfer sagas to last us a lifetime after the GB debacle...

I'm sure my attitude will change if he does come to liverpool and be a success but for now I reserve the right to call him a wanker because he acts like one.

Well its either Cole or Downing. Rafa said he was looking at English left footed player that could play in 3 positions who isnt Barry. They are the only two I can think of.

Hmm, maybe it is Cole. Downing - three positions? You're havin a laugh

Thats what I thought... To be honest, Cole to Liverpool does sound strange but so did Robbie Keane to Liverpool the first time I heard it.

Yeah, the more I think about it - a cluttered midfield at Chelsea, games could be hard to come by for Cole, and Pool could do with some quality out wide. Yeah - I'm just wondering would he want to leave a club like Chelsea, where he's won so much for Liverpool (no offence).

Have to agree J.Cole would definately be a good addition to our squad. Hate him but he'd definately improve us. And added to that he wouldn't score against us (on purpose) if we played chelsea! He has game intelligence and can make his own goals. If he does go then I'd hope at least we make some sort of offer to get him. Whether Chelsea would sell him to us or not is another debate...:o

Probably not. Although if the choice is either sitting on the bench at Chelsea or playing regularly for Liverpool, its an easy one.

Chelsea midfielders: J.Cole, Swp, Malouda, Kalou, Essien, Makelele, Ballack, Lampard, Deco, Mikel. Add Robiniho to that and it will be incredibly hard to get a game. I would expect Esien, Ballack, Lampard, Deco, Drogba & Robiniho (if they sign him) to start almost every game.

True, and he doesn't come across as the type of player who'd be motivated by money.

Cole has been fairly vocal against Liverpool in the past, infeering that we stle their Chapions League trophy.
When someone says they don't like you, and then you're told that you have to work with them, it can cause resentment.

That would be true if penos weren't not so damned important in winning trophies these days. :pac:

Yeah - I'm just wondering would he want to leave a club like Chelsea, where he's won so much for Liverpool (no offence).

Another way of looking at it is that he's already won pretty much everything (bar CL) at Chelsea and will now be finding it much tougher to get football week in week out. Might be time for a change, nothing left to prove there. While Liverpool aren't on a par with Chelsea yet, he himself would go some way towards redressing that balance. As far as moves go, it would be a good one for him, stepping up to being a vital piece of the puzzle again rather then being 1 of many at chelsea now.

He will also need regular football if he wants to play for england.

If he joined Liverpool, there'd be no doubt he'd get regular football.

I cant find any mention or quotes from Joe Cole about his dislike for liverpool. Maybe somebody just made it up because he plays for chelsea and therefore must be a liverpool hating wankhuur

He would be a great addition to Liverpool but I doubt he would leave Chelsea at the moment, even though his place is not assured with the midfield Chelsea have he is next in line for a place if Lampard/Deco/Essien/Ballack get injured or have a bad run of form.

I like the guy, he sort of reminds me of Ronnie O Sullivan

And then you've got the Liverpool game the following season where we were let down by a dubious goal.

And as mentioned above, when Crouch signed for Liverpool, he was interviewed about the Istanbul final, and he said that Cole was complaining so much that him, Cole and a few others brought him shopping to take his mind off of it while the rest of the english squad were watching in the hotel.
When They heard it was 3-0 they ent injto a Sports bar to watch, but Cole got annoyed, and went to the otherside of the bar as Liverpool came back in.
He refused to watch the penalties, and left before the trophy was raised.

    so ****ing wat?!

we did win by a dubious goal that may or may not have crossed the line, i'm sure he did feel sick watching us win the greatest CL final ever! who wouldnt have in his situation!?

and as for him being a moaner and not a team player because he felt he should get more game time with England.....i presume you felt the same about Carragher?

Jamie Carragher=moaner and not a team player, i'd dare you to say that to his face :)

if thats the best you can come up as a reason to hate him thats pretty sad tbh!
