Pulled out a load of comics recently, off Ely Place.. sold for 50 euro. That was only half. Just a fluke, walking home from the National Concert Hall, all nicely boxed. Bundled with some nice books on the Irish civil war.

Same place, across the road, about 30-40 Dell CRT's (using one of them now), black in colour, 17"-19". Various SCSI cards, controllers, cables etc.

Amiga, Commodore 64, Amstrad, Oric, Spectrum, 'wooden' Atari (2x) (paddles AND the joysticks) Playstations (1st one, quite a few)

IBM Thinkpad T21, various Compaqs.. a lot of windows 95/98 capable laptops.

I always have a gander at a skip in parts of Dublin where it is mainly offices, the staff don't give a sod about waste, so, if it is taking up space, out it goes, anything and everything from a PC. Full Pentium 4 Dell towers, scanners, Laser printers in a big way, inkjet, all immaculate, some boxed..

Various CPU's and motherboards, they lag behind in state-of-the artness.., but it seems its okay to throw out Pentium 3's and 4's now! A good few Durons and some Bartons.

Countless hard drives.. (erotic LOTR fan fiction on one.. Legolas and Gandalf.. person that wrote it was under 20..)

Staplers, sellotape reels, that blue paper in huge rolls you can more or less mop anything up with.. (they have them at garages also) Pens, biros, markers, highlighters, staples, anything and everything for office use.

Cardboard tubing, postal supplies.. (jiffy bags, envelopes, great savings..) empty CD jewel cases (new, about 300, all packed)

Delivery trays for fruit and veg, plastic, dark green, blue, black etc, great for garages, stashing stuff away at home. They usually come in a stardard size with stacking ridges, stable.

Valve radios (about 30 now, most working, some manufactured in Dublin), 1 Crystal set, a Fellocryst Super Receiving Set. (uses a 'Cat Whisker' and crystal)

Furniture, lighting, Massaging chair, bike(s), PC Games, music. Porn (lost of..)

I've never bought a Hoover, ever, it seems these are thrown out like a fashion now, wrong colour *cough*, not the right brand.. fine by me. Stay fashionable! :pac:

    Plenty of books.

    Some of the stranger items..?

A huge dildo with straps and a pair of womens drawers hanging out of the hollow end.

A couple of balaclavas (old school Provo style).. A bucket full of Dentistry syringes (used), a parcel of 'animal' videos with a few nappies in with them.

A large bag of coins covered in pencil shavings and cigarette ash.

40 euro (Bleachy.. Milton like whiff, disposed off at the local Spar with minimal contact)

Land Deeds, Wills, 'Legal stuff' (unshredded, open top skip, public road)..

I don't do this for any amount of time, I just take the effort to cross a road and have a look if I see a skip.

Been stopped a few times over the years, during the day and evening, if you show the Gardai what you're up to and you're not making a mess, they'll generally let you get on with things.

Make sure the skip is out on the road and open. Anywhere off a public area, or if you've fiddled with a covering etc.. and you'll probably get nicked.

I don't have a hang up about recycling something. There's more to that than just putting aside your empty bean tins.

    Yes, I am a Pickaroonie..

Yore ma, yore fathers wife. Same difference.

Yore ma posts are one of the things that appeared up on the "How can we improve After Hours" thread. A lot of people hate it as in most cases it's stupid and unfunny. You seem to agree with that viewpoint.

Now it isn't banned altogether because that would be crazy. We decided that we would clamp down on people using it a lot or quite frequently. You were one of the ones that stuck out. I warned you once on thread (maybe twice) and infracted once. You ignored my warnings and kept posting so I removed your access.

If you see someone use it quite a lot then yes feel free to report them and let it be known to the mods, we'll deal with it.

in a village where a few of 'da lads' drink, we had built a hut. In town, there was an old building been cleared out, lots of office equipment.

friend came, loaded up the office chairs, pen holders which later became can holders, scaffolding. Office chairs were lovely and comfortable.. you could drink in peace in that hut... it's heaven..

worst thing I ever came across was a rope that a friend had used to kill himself... Worst find evar, and i haven't went looking in skips since. so unless something really valuable is hanging out, i'm not going looking for **** in skips ever again...
