i panted a hazelnut tree in the garden last year ? i have no nuts yet ?

do i need a tree to pollinate the existing tree.

also which breed of tree is a suitable pollinator for a common hazel tree

You'll need to figure out if you have a boy or a girl and then get a second tree of the opposite sex... if you want some nuts !

I'd change the title a little if I was you...

Oh, have a read a this... I don't think the blight thing is applicable in Ireland.

There would need to be a pollinator in the area. Your plant is just a baby, I wouldn't expect it to produce nuts for another five or six years.
