Have a Cooler Master Cosmos 1000, which has 6 USB drives at the front, and I''ve a USB powered portable HDD, so I'm wondering does anyone know is it possible to give power to these ports? I ask, as when I plug it in now, the HDD is not detected :(

do any devices get detected when plugged into the front? They may be USB 1.1 ports: only the 2.0 standard transmits power: if thats the case a USB Y cable should be able to draw power from the regular data busses on a secondary port. No idea if it will be enough to power your HDD though.

Also check that the USB front panel connectors are plugged into the mobo ...
