Has anyone ever used Brian Redmond for a wedding ? Had a look at his website and he looks good but I have heard that he is expensive.

I am sure he is expensive, but it is usually a sign of knowing what he is doing.
Email him looking for prices and he should reply.

i disagree. it's a sign someone is a good businessperson, doesn't show how good their people skills, listening skills or photography skills are.

if you thank about hiring someone, ask to look at some of their previous albums. if you like them, ask to speak to some of their previous clients, if they then say they were good, take it further

Judging by the portfolio on his site, he's better than your average standard group shot sort of photographer and will give you some nice natural, candid stuff too. Depends just how expensive he is, against how much you're willing to pay and what your expectations of the photos are...

Bear something in mind before you choose anyone though - try to meet them beforehand and see if you are comfortable with them. If you are, it'll be a lot better for everyone involved.
