Delighted.

Not because of the meth, but because someone selling likely cut to shreds dirt weed is out of business. The majority of weed available here makes soapbar seem like a hit of crack in comparison.

They had initially reported it was cocaine, which i thought was odd being linked to a E European gang. Most EE here who buy anything illegal use speed, e and smoke.

Many of them have tried coke, but for some reason are generally more intelligent and refuse to take more of that sugar compared to the amount of Irish people who sniff tonnes of dental anaesthetic per week.

ffs there was a murder recently where a guy claimed to have murdered his friend while coked up. An examination of the scene revealed there may not have even been cocaine in what he was taking. Fair enough it has declined rapidly in popularity in the past year or so in Dublin but how or why people still use it is beyond me.

A Sydney financier has been jailed for 16 months for "the worst case" of aggravated cruelty against animals.

Brendan Francis McMahon, 37, of Tamarama, will have to spend at least 12 months in jail for his torture, mutilation, and alleged sexual offences against 17 rabbits and a guinea pig.

The magistrate, Ian Barnett, said a strong message should be sent to the community that people such as McMahon could not escape responsibility for their actions by the fact they were psychotic at the time.

"In my view this is one of the worst case scenarios of aggravated cruelty to animals," he said.

He accepted McMahon had a lifelong cannabis addiction and, before and during the offences against the animals, had a $125 a day addiction to methamphetamine (also known as ice).

"In my view there is community outrage at this matter and someone should not be allowed to commit such offences of aggravated cruelty against animals and say 'Well I had been using ice at the time. I have been taking cannabis most of my life.'

"My view is ... this is not acceptable."

The dead or dying animals, some skinned, were allegedly found in and around McMahon's York Street office between July and early August last year.

McMahon ran a financial planning and mortgage brokerage, Meares-McMahon Capital, with Jason Meares, the brother of the swimsuit designer Jodhi Meares, former wife of James Packer.

Crystal meth was very difficult to get in this country.It would show up once in a blue moon as snartable powder but the meth these people are talking about is the freebase snmokable version.Most if not all speed in this country is amphetamine sulphate which has nothing like the same buzz.

What's worse is that the process for cooking meth is also extremely dangerous. It's cooked up with solvents and is highly explosive. You could live next door to a meth lab and never know until the day you get 80% solvent and flame burns on your body when it explodes as you walk past on your way home from the shops*

In the US, it's mostly biker gangs and neo-nazi's controlling the meth trade, I've no idea about who runs it in Europe.

How in the **** she thought she would get away with the politician and the nun bits are beyond me. Of course there may be a politician stupid enough to be using it, but he isnt thick enough to give a journalist an interview detailing his use ffs.

Methamphetamine is a controlled substance used to treat ADD/ADHD and as others have observed is also good for weight loss so is also used in the short term to treat obesity. The branded name is Desoxyn. Anyone hoping to achieve a crystal meth high by buying this brand would be wasting their time as the concentration used is very different to what you get on the streets. The desoxyn tablets are usually 5mg whereas crystal ice on the streets is usually of a higher concentration but also usually injected intravenously (like most heroin).

In europe its mostly controled by Hells Angels,its not a big thing in europe yet though,far more so in New zealand,Australia and the US.In Australia its known as Crank because it used to be hidden in the cranksafts of Motorbikes.Its growing in SE Asia too,where its available as little purple pills called Yaba.
It can be manufatured relatively easily by distilling Ephedra,or Pseudoephadrine(cold and flu remedy).In many places you cant buy more than one packet of Sudafed for example and Ephedrine used to be contained in bodybuilding weight loss supplements,now its been removed and these products dont work!!
