Size 8 , I've never went out with a girl over size 12 and I never will just don't like it.

Likewise, I can't imagine I'd every go out with anyone under a size 12. To me, from size 10 downwards just looks like boys in drag.

There's a big difference between someone who is 5ft and someone who is 5'6! I'm 5'6 and I'm a size 8/10 on bottom and size 10/12 on top. If I was any skinnier I would look sick. In fact, I was smaller and made a conscious effort to get a bit bigger. I genuinely think that if someone is 5'6 and they're a size 6, they wouldn't look healthy.

Most peoples perception of size is bs.
I have two friends, both the same height roughly (5ft 10) and same weight.
One is a size 6, the other a 12. Both are curvy and fab looking.

Boys in drag?...But men would generally be bigger?. But personal opinion and all that it's more than just size though I mean BMI plays a big part if a girl is 6 foot and a size 10 - 12 she's probably in good shape where as someone who was 5'5 with a BMI of 23-26 probably isn't. But what can ya do people like what they like, I've had plenty of girls turn me down because i'm not tall enough i'm 5'9 c la vi.

Thats bull****e. BMI is no indication of fitness. In fact the fitter you are the less relevant it is.

Y'know, girls at the bottom end of the height scale would be closer to the 6, at the top they'd be closer to an 8.

    Fair enough.

I conciously refuse to stand in the company of any female over the approx size of 14, I feel it lowers my social value in the veiw of other potentially more attractive women whom I dont know. I enforce this rule upon myself to such an extent that I demand aqquaintances who are possibly developing into friends to have their BMI measured by a doctor and supply me with the results before continuing our relationship.

    God bless America!

Argh I was 12 when I was unhealthily underweight.Am 14 now and am just about the right weight for my height,6ft. Course I get that 14 is different for someone who's under 5ft5" but geez saying that after 14 you don't want a girl is a bit thick in all honesty.

Sure why not both? It is the internet. You're all wishing for a 6ft naive 14year old to take advantage of.

That's why I said it depends on height etc but in general I do like slimmer women i'm just not attracted to big girls...people can't help what they are attracted to.

You don't know that. What if you meet a really hot girl whom you were attracted to who was 12-14?

Maybe it's possible but it hasn't happend yet, don't get me wrong I wouldn't rule out the idea i'm just saying I am attracted in general to slimmer girls and that long term I would have issues with a girl who is overweight but if it's a girl who looks after herself and is healthy then it becomes differant.

    Yep, totally understandable.

It's just that when I read some of the more extreme comments, I look at things from the other perspective and they do read a bit like "I'm a girl who would only go out with a guy who is lean with a six-pack". We heterosexual girls would get slated for that...

I've always found that I become attracted to the type of girl I happen to be with. Current g/f (prob for life at this stage...) is 5'10" and size 16/18 as boobage sometime demands a bigger size (no complaints from me :D). So now I like tall women with big boobies.

My previous g/f was Asian/English and when I was with her I only had eyes for asian girls.

When it comes to actually meeting women, I find that preferences for physical attributes can be quickly abandoned. Having said that, I think everyone has a line they draw in terms of what's acceptable to them, whether or not it's politically correct to admit it. We're all Shallow Hal to some extent or another...

In fairness we probably wouldn't...it is when we mentioned size of wallet or appendage that we would get in trouble.

pretty much everything in my wifes wardrobe is xl, but then again she is american. if i'd have to guess shes at least a 16, but shes trying to slim down (saying that for ages now but i aint seeing it) shes about 5'5

i have no problems with her being slim or not, whatever makes her happy and right now shes not....

In fairness, that statement isn't as off the wall as you wish it to be to back up your point. Now I'm not going to start saying girls all just want fellas with buff physiques, but I'd say there are more women that are picky about their man's build than the other way around.

Don't think anybody would care about the appendage one either tbh. Most guys aren't insecure enough about their appearance to take issue with somebody else's preferences.

You'd definitely get it for the wallet one though. Every guy - rich or poor - hates girls like that!

That's ridiculous! I'm 5' .5'' and I'm a twelve. Height has very little relation to size.

On the topic of sizes differing between shops, sometimes it's not even different shops. There have been times when I've bought two tops in the same shop one in a 10 and the other in a 14.

What is your current/most recent bit of stuff really like?

My wife is approx. 5ft 8" - size 8-10 (but recently bought a size 6 skirt that is too big for her yet her size 8 dress fits her perfectly )
That's my reality and I love it. If I was single I'd go out with a size 12 lady but that would be the limit. Shallow? Maybe but it's my preference. End of story.
