Boss GT-5 Pedal blown

I just received a Boss GT-5 Guitar effects processor from the US and I think i've blown the fuse on it. I used a 220V to 110V adapter so I figured I was playing it safe. The lights came on and as I was getting set up it went blank. I can't get a signal out of it at all now.
Been trying to find info on the web about this but haven't had much luck. I suspect it's a worse case scenario and it may have blown the mainboard too. Does anyone know anything about replacing power supplies on these? Are there any forums or tips out there I could do a bit of research on?

Does your step-down have a fuse? Check that first.

Not sure I know I know what or where that is.
How could I check it?

Well, there should be a fuse in the plug for one (the plug of the transformer). Also, its possible there's a simple screw-in fuse in the transformer itself, most step-downs ive used have (although the very smallest/cheapest won't).

I would check either/both of those before thinking about opening the GT5.

i stupidly done the same when i got my PodXTL, the adaptor actually melted when i plugged it in, liquid just start pouring out of it!

anyways i got a replacement adaptor in the music shop at the back of georges arcade, cant remember the name, and it worked fine!
