Repairing a We Tech 1911 Tactical

    Hi Folks,

So I managed to drive the spring out of the front of my We Tech 1911 Tactical:

Anyone know where I could get this repaired or where I could find the parts to replace the broken ones?

It doesn't look like a difficult piece to fix, I just cant seem to find anywhere selling specific parts.

Would I just be better biting the bullet and buying a new one (sucks though as I only bought this three weeks ago)?

    Thanks,

    - Ken

    Hi Kentar,

Bring it back to the shop whom sold it to you or give them a ring. Any retailer worth their salt will help you out. Most retailers buy in parts so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

    Can you post a pic?

What part has actually broken, I assume the bushing that encloses the barrel at the front of the gun?

I'm guessing you are on about the recoil spring.

This what you are talking about Ken?

If so, I tried looking for parts but couldnt find one, so just made my own replacement part. I made it from steel, so its a lot stronger than the original and thus the 'rim' that broke off the pin is not an issue.

Thats exactly what I'm talking about :)

The retailer I bought it off told me to come into them at the weekend and they'd see what the could do.

I was trying to come up with a method of making a replacement myself but I don't have access to the right tools.
