I have through one of my contacts in the far east been able to get access to an mpeg4 HD DTT box for fairly cheap.

It is mpeg2 compliant too and supports SD as well as HD so it is future proof really!

Does anyone know when RTE will start broadcasting in HD FTA?

    Cheers doug

Also the Interactive & Program guide may not work properly, though if it has MHEG5, it should mostly be OK.

    Yes has this :

"MHEG-5 Middleware embedded for interactive television"

Sounds like a goer! I'm going to get him to send it to me!

Sounds like it has everything that it needs so I'll let you know when i get it how i get on with it!

    CVBS output
    Audio CINCH
    Optical S/PDIF
    YpbPr output
    HDMI
    USB
    LAN

A digital tuner is a digital tuner.. mpeg2 is just sw,

Surely there is an mpeg4 image for a dreambox
