My Gran always watches if a Cork person is on it, even if they're from a completely different part of Cork to where we are.
She also watches out for Kerry people, as my Grandad was from Kerry.

Bit daft, but she likes it! :)

I wouldn't watch winning streak. Ever. I can't think of a more horrible show on TV.

I wouldn't watch Winning Streak full stop. Of course, I wouldn't mind being on it.

I'd rather pull off my fingernails than watch winning streak.

I wouldn't watch it if a member of my immediate family was on it, never mind some randomer who just happens to live in the same county as me.

Somebody I knew, yes. Somebody from my county, no.

Even with someone I knew I would find it hard to sit and watch it.

Unless its someone I know then I don't bother watching it.

My Grandad was on it last year, won around 80,000 and I was delighted for him as he was going through hard times.

Used to watch it every time it was on when I was younger, for some reason it was a family event kind of thing. Now I tried watching it a few weeks ago, but was more enticed by Red Dwarf. :D

If someone I knew was on it then I'd watch it.

A neighbour of ours was on it three feckin times!

    Now that's just unlucky...

People only watch so that they can begrudge the sh1t out of a winner if they spot 'em in the street.

I presume too that you would not want a single cent from the family member, seeing as you have no interest in it.

Winning streak is such a dull show... there's no viewer participation like Countdown, Who Wants to be a Millionare or the weakest link... there's not even any tension like deal or no deal.
They need to make it more like Gladiators I think... some oul biddy scrambling up a climbing wall, only to get decked by some bodybuilder... now that I'd watch.

I didn't even watch it when my husband was on it, so no.

It would be entirely up to them what they want to do with their winnings. I would have no expectations either way.

I was buying something out of the buy and sell from a man in Kilkenny a few years ago. After saying hello and showing me said something so I could look it over, he proceeded to go into the sitting room and watch Winning Streak.

"D'ye watch the oul spin da whale at all?" <- actual quote I shit you not.

He practically ignored me while I was trying to hand over 750 of my hard earned to him.

I used to really hate Noel Edmonds. Now I admire him for making so much money off such a stupidly simple and pointless idea. A bit like the way I admire the crazy frog guy.

P.S. I still hate both of them.

I remember when Mike Murphy useda do it, and when theyd spin the wheel he say "now remember folks we have to count down from 5 to 1 when the ball comes to a rest, very important blah blah etc etc"......then hed go "FIVE!....FOUR!.....well done!" :D I think he was in a rush to hit the town

That presenter does my head in, he is a bloody tosser. The programme was less sh1t with Mike Murphy anyway.

Is it still Mooney hosting it? I thought it had changed hands again.

The one good thing about Mooney was that he ripped the piss out of the contestants and they didn't even cop it half the time.
