I just froze a slug to death.

Just needed to get this off my chest.
I left some beer out in the garden, anyway when I went out to get them they were covered in slugs. They must have been attracted to the smooth surface of the beer bottles.
I washed the bottles anyway and stuck them in the freezer to some quick chilling.
Took them out, drank them last night.
Anyway earlier I was getting some frozen peas out of the freezer when I noticed a thumb sized slug, frozen solid.
The guilt I possess now that I froze a live creature to death is overcoming me.

What should i do to deal with this?

Give the thing a decent respectful burial.

I suggest you get your hands on as much explosive material as possible and send that sucker to the stars!

Let it defrost and then pour salt on it to see if it shrivels up.

OTOH, that's one less slug to trigger off the phobia I possess against slugs, so thank you.

Get the little frozen bastard, stick the microwave on defrost, fire him in, use the time tio butter up two slices of bread of your choice, remove (hopefully now defrosted slug) and if he's alive kill him now... believe me it'll save you €'s upon €'s in doctors bills in the future... put earthworm jim in between your breads and enjoy.

Best consumed with a cup of rosy lee.

    Enjoy :o

As a fully fledged member of an active service unit of PETA I wish to inform you that myself and another volunteer are already in possession of your IP address and are currently cycling (CO2 emissions hurt the Dolphins) over to your home right now on our hemp fiber tandem.

We will be administering a punishment beating with cucumbers laced with really sharp almonds. However before we reach you to beat you can you please confirm if you have a nut allergy?

    RIP Slug :(

let it defrost, and see it it lives unaged, ie, dave lister style from red dwarf, or like your one from demonlition man,

ok so they were frozen between 50 and 300,000,000 years, but you get the idea

I was just gonna say that, but seeing as I was beaten to it...

Leave him in the freezer for a little while longer, take him out and hit the frozen slug with a hammer, repeatedly, until there is nothing left but slug dust. Then sprinkle said slug dust on the flower bed. They will either cannibalise the slug dust or stay away from now on.

He's in the bin right now but might have a quick rummage through in a bit and see if he's there.

Knowing my luck he'll come back with amazing powers like being able to fire icebolts at me.

Keep it frozen until years in the future when there will be the technology to revive it.

I think you should freeze yourself. You killed an insect, it is only right you take your own life in an act of selfless justice.

What Grimes said. Or alternatively, leave him frozen so that he can be awakened in the future, when slugs are the new overlords of the planet.

Don't worry yourself about it. Right now it's probably chillin in slug Heaven, wrapped around an ice cold bottle of it's favourite brew.

    Lucky slug.

Actually thinking about it another way: he intruded into your freezer which in self defence battled in the only way it could: it freezed said slug. Perfect justice.

You drank from a bottle that had snail trail and slugs all over it? Sick. What a desperate alco. You disssgust me. You can wash the slime, but not your shame.

Anyways, the slug prob had the shivers as hypothermia set in then got all sleepy from his body shutting down and fell asleep, had lovely trippy dreams and died peacefully.

He could have been squashed! You did him a favour.

Throw him in the back of the freezer and leave him for future generations. He'll be thawed in the future when the capacity to repair frozen cells exists and society has evolved into a pacifist utopia where everyone sports retro 60s hairstyles for some reason. Godspeed Timeslug.

Don't worry about him. If the slug had the chance, he's freeze you, and drink your beer. Count yourself lucky...

Why did you leave the beer in the garden? Place dead slug in beer bottle and walla tequila.
