Oh my god it was brutal! Most unfair, difficult exam I've ever seen in my life, especially trig, which I'm normally good at. Really makes me wish I'd done the JC last year.

I second that! My teacher told me the head examiners sit down and discuss the paper and how it was answered. If for example question 4 was answered badly by loads of students then they allow for that in the marking scheme.

Hey, i was just wondering, about part (iv) of b in Question 2 (Find the area of the triangle cde) what was the simplest way of doing that? I had to use the distance equation 3 times, and found each of the areas of the small triangles, and added them. I used up a whole page, and lost loadza time, and i had to skip part c and come back to it later. Was there a simpler way of doing that part?

not too sure but i used 1/2 a b SinC
its probably wrong though, but thats what i always do to get the area of a triangle.
oh and what was your graph like?
mine was so weird the lines intersected at their tips so it formed a perfect triangle, which never happened before so im guessing its wrong.

Yeah i did that, but the only way i could get the area was use 1/2absinC, but i only had the 2 90 degree angles, so i had to find 2 sides of each.... took ages.

Of course it looks impossible, you haven't spent 2 years learning how to do it. : p It's really not that bad.

yeah, i thought it was WELL easy. got either the highest or the second highest in my year in the mocks, so yeah i'm pretty confident. :D

paper one was stupidly easy, came out of the exam pretty annoyed, wanted something even the TEENSIEST bit challenging. in comparison to previous years, id say it was one of the easiest ones set.

paper two wasn't THAT easy, but the theorems were simple, and the rest of the exam wasn't too bad at all. wasn't as easy as paper one, but then paper two never is.

i'm saying all thios, but then maths has always been my "thing", i kinda sorta LOVE it. wish i was as good in other subjects as i am in maths :D

I found the way you put down the papers as easy and challenging comletely the opposite. I am good enough atmaths ad most things just come to me like but i found paper 1 hard enough, and paper 2 easy enough. Think im gunna get a C anyways, im not brilliant at all of maths, just the General Knowledge side of it.
