I intend disposing of the carpet but I will need to kill of the remaining larvae that will be left under skirting boards, in cracks, etc. before laying a new floor covering. I have failed to locate a powder/spray in Dublin to do this, though they are quite common in the U.S. (e.g. Suspend Sc).

Anyone please know where I would get a powder/spray, as I'm at my wit's end killing moths by swatting them, and vacuuming up larvae for the last 2 years.

Garden shops sell derris dust which kills insects you could try that.
