Saw Clapton live and forgot how good Layla was, radio only seem to play the unplugged version, but you cant beat the guitar screeching and then the piano at the end... Perfect.

U2- Stay is another one that gave me goosebumps first time I heard it as did I'm on Fire by Springsteen.

Kool Thing has , imo, the most addictive riff ever. I could listen to it on repeat for ages and never get sick of it.
I do love Daydream Nation, but I prefer Goo myself.

Haven't heard of Death Valley '69 but will definitely check it out. It'll be a while yet before I get through the entire Sonic Youth catalogue (seems like they've been around forever, and I only have 6 of their albums!)

Bit of a weird one, but the german national anthem (Das Deutschlandlied by Hadyn) always makes me want to cry, despite the fact I'm not German and have never been there. Just such a stirring tune. Have learned it off and can't resist belting it out down the pub before their matches, no clue what the lyrics that I'm singing mean though! Think I must have been a german in a past life, though hopefully not the last one cos, y'know...

I made that particular mistake once in Cologne....

I can do the "Deutschland deutschland uber alles" verse, and the one they usually use at the football, which begins phonetically "ein-itch-keit und recht und frei-heit, fur das deutsche vaw-der-lawned!", are they both cool? I thought they took the dodgy verse out?
