    Hi,
I have a macbook and recently i was given an epson c66 printer but without the installation disc. I went onto to internet to try and download installation disc, but I could only find ones for windows. Does anyone know where I could get this for a mac?

    Thanks a mill

I think Epson provide one giant DMG with a generic driver. Many printers will work with other drivers. I use the D68 driver for my D92 and it works very well.

Anyway, on Leopard, there is a driver for your C66. It appears in CUPS so it should 'just work'. Have you tried connecting it? If it doesn't work, you should be able to add it manually anyway.

I find that a lot of converts to Mac OS expect some form of acknowledgment when they plug in a device - probably a reasonable expectation too. Mostly with printers there isn't any and the printer "just works".

There is a small app called Hardware Growler that provides the desired feedback (and then some !!) when new hardware is plugged in but the first place to start with printers is obviously System Preferences > Print & Fax - 9 times from 10 the printer will already be there waiting to be used.
