Older men dancing - tragic delusion or epic hawtness?

Continuing our exploration of the mind of the modern man, and given the impending festivities this evening, we turn our attention to the subject of social etiquette. Specifically how a Brother should carry himself in the face of copious amounts of beer, hot wimmin and urban beats.

In other words, should a Brother dance?

Is it a case of tragic delusion where a Brother thinks he is "it" but in reality resembles some type of alien octopus undergoing a mild epileptic fit?

Or is it a case of an extra button or two undone on the shirt, hips moving to the rhythm of the night while surrounded by a gaggle of hot, adoring wimmins?

Should a Brother dance? 30 votes

No, unless he wants to look like an epileptic octopus

sorry given the day that it is in it I don't think this topic should be up for debate......cause why debate when tonight we can carry out experiments to test the theory instead?

The older the fiddle the sweeter the tune.

I would say it depends on the ammount of effort the borther is making really.
Something subtle, riské with a lot of stops is what should be done.

Nothing like a man who knows Tango, esp Argentine Tango.
    Styles of Argentine tango

    Salon Tango

Salon Tango was the most popular style of tango danced up through the Golden Era of the dance (1950's) when milongas (tango parties) were held in large dance venues and full tango orchestras performed. Later, when the Argentine youth started dancing rock & roll and tango's popularity declined, the milongas moved to the smaller confiterias in the center of the city, resulting in the birth of the "milonguero/apilado/Petitero/caquero" style.

Salon Tango is characterized by slow, measured, and smoothly executed moves. It includes all of the basic tango steps and figures plus sacadas, barridas, and voleos. The emphasis is on precision, smoothness, and musicality. The couple embraces closely but the embrace is flexible, opening slightly to make room for various figures and closing again for support and poise. The walk is the most important element, and dancers usually walk 60%-70% of the time during a tango song.

It all depends on skill level. I mean, John Travolta is pretty old but can still move. Jean Claude Van Damme was always famous for his techo dancing.....and i imagine Techno Viking will still be marching down the streets well into his 60's!

It's just a jump to the left! That is all I'll say  BTW I'm 42, have no sense of rhythem, and 2 left feet! But I don't get the chance to dance, (well some call it that) being a DJ, so when I do it usually clears the room!

You would think that after watching people dance while working I would be the world's greatest dancer, sadly this is not true.
