    Hi,

Carpenter just finished 2nd fix. Skirting is all fixed and looks good. It is deal and will be painted off-white. He has caulked the tops of the the skirting and this looks very nice - no spaces. He has also caulked a small stretch of skirting at the bottom apparently because of some not great tiling and spaces at bottom of skirting. Actually this looks really good but I was wondering if it would be a good or bad idea to do this for all the skirting ?

One thing which comes to mind might be difficulty getting a good line when painting.

if its deal you are using then I would avoid it.

It will shrink a little over the next year or so and crack the caulk.

I would have plained the bottom of the skirting to the uneven floor myself.

Its the proper way to deal with bad concrete and tiling.
