    Hi guys,
Back again. This page is minimised all day and phone is strapped to me. :D A little O/T but does anyone have any tips for driving test? I've just booked mine and plan to go out every day before it. Done 13 lessons although that has been spread over a year. (Huffy instructor has not called me in 6 weeks because I missed a call  so I'm going it alone now). Would love to pass especially as I want to be a police officer and it would help a lot.

Not being big headed but i found the drivihng test really easy. i did mine in november 2006 when i was 17. Only had 4 lessons (miracle).

I would say just stay focused. Pretend its another lesson with your instructor. My examiner was really nice, he chatted away.

I went in with the attitude - ' I can do this, driving is easy' and it worked cause i passed first time.

Id love to do the police driving course:)

    Anyway all the best

I've been saying I will pass my driving test 20 times a day and visualising myself passing it in a Derren Brown kind of way. I'd say a big part of it is confidence as I know what I have to do. I wish I had done mine when I was younger (listen to me at 23 ).

Well done to everyone who's been offered a place and good luck to the rest of us.
Does anyone know how many more intacts there will be for campaign 13 and when they are likely to be if August doesn't happen.
    SFMCC

SFMCC, there are intakes every 5 weeks after 3rd Aug (that means one on 21 Dec ) As I mentioned yesterday, if you are high enough on the merit list a training place will be held until vetting is secured. Hope this helps.

It's in just over a week. I'm not worrying too much I'm not going in with expectations I just want to treat it as another lesson as you did and get an idea of what it is like. I suppose I've just been unlucky in terms of the fact I live on a very busy road and I have seen at least 10 accidents since I started learning. The other night I was driving around a particularly busy city and had to drive past a serious accident 2 ambulances, police etc. But I was totally calm, took my time and got to where I was going with no other issues. To be honest it's more other people pulling in front with no indicators, driving too close to my exhaust, being in the wrong lane at roundabouts and kids running out after balls (2 thusfar). My partner who is teaching me now says it is a total nightmare compared to when he did it as there is so many people doing whatever they want. I'd love to do the police driving and I think you can still do it on r's from what I have read on the other posts. But I'm getting ahead of myself need to get in first! Better keep up my mantra's "I will get a call, I will ..."

You'l do great, especially with city driving experience. Im a country pumpkin and my hazards were tractors, cows and cyclists. HAHAHAHA

Keep the chin up Makepeace. Sounds to me like you have had the best experience you can have with all of those accidents etc. If you can cope with that and still be calm you'll do great. Don't forget the examiner isn't out to fail you, they are there to be a bais as they can (well most of them). I F'ed up coming out of the test centre, took a corner far too wide and couldn't get into gear but I stayed positive and didn't give up and still managed to pass! Just think positive, it really does help.

    Hey,

Im sure this questions has been asked and answered before, but to be honsest i dont have the time to trawl through 100's of pages, so here goes.

When consensia sent out pass/fail AC letters do they tell you your mark ie 35/70 etc

    Thanks

Ps iv been pre-calculating my score from monday, and its coming out at 47/70, hardly the greatest but i bet the real results will be much lower:o

    Hey PYG

You will only recieve your pass fail letter, the break down of scores follows a good few months after whether or not you've passed.

It's really hard to predict what you've got as the scoring applies to every compentency within each role play. You are scored out of 5 for each compentency depending on hold relevent your answers were.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it will probably be quite some time before you get your breakdown of scores but at least you don't have to wait that long for your results. Finegrs crossed for you.

    * You lazy moo :D:D:D

PYG. You get your AC score much later from Consensia. It's a comprehensive feedback report and I believe it's approx 4/5 months after AC's start. Mine arrived in Feb this year and AC's for C13 started around Sept/Oct 07.

Don't know how you've calculated your own AC score??? I mean how do you know how you performed in relation to the competencies tested???

You'll just get yourself all worked up for no reason. Are we going to talk about postmen again soon? :D

@ papayankiegirl, they only tell you that you pass/fail, you then have to wait months for your feedback from consensia

OMG What a nightmare  That's double stress in your life. Well congratulations on passing the admin test too. Hopefully you'll get the nod from the officer selection first (think we better leave this subject or we'll confuse peeps out there with you having 2 apps running ;))
