Old man Ron Black's is good for a couple of starting off pints in Dublin. I wouldn't risk going down that cramped spiral staircase with a few on me though.

    And little country bars ftw.

Someone lives in Smithfield! Walshes around the corner from the Cobblestone does the best Guinness in the world. Bowe's of Fleet St has a great atmosphere and no tossers. I miss these places :(

The Big Tree in Dub on student night.

Maybe 5 years ago but now it might as well be an under 18s venue.

Hey Xavi6! I'm now 20 and have been away from Dub across the pond for almost 3 years. Oh my gods! Does that mean I'm aging?

    You must be!

I used to think the Big Tree was hip and cool when I was 18, then I hit 19/20 and realised how many underage kids had discovered the place. Couldn't go back. Same thing happened with Barcode.

The Roisin Dubh in Galway was my favourite pub for years. Best place in the world to have a quiet pint in the afternoon or to have a rake of pints later on and watch a band.

Unfortunately it's lost its charm since the refurbishment. I'm sure they make way more money now though so there you go.

Also Taylor's right next door to the Roisin Dubh was a great place. Changed owners a few years back and seems now to be populated mostly by naked ladies who want money to sit on your lap for a while.

Yup. Talylor's was my local until they bastaradised the place.

Good old Seamus, and good old craic.

    Great nights.

Doyles, The Foggy Dew, Temple Bar Porterhouse would all be favourites.

For a long time Crawdaddy's was a favourite as well.

Honourable mention for my local, the venerable M1. A ****e pub, but good for watching matches.

Big fan of the Outback myself too.

    €12.20 though?

About a month ago it was tenner for a pitcher of Fosters.

Get the fifteen euro platter and you're sorted!
