Boards is a huuuuuuuge site, catering for loads of different tastes. From the bizarre to the mundane everyday things (Mustard forum :p )

Plenty of avid readers and contributors in each, a lot of knowledge is passed about on an everyday basis.

How is this valuable to you as a media outlet?... interviews, possible employees?, knowledge base etc.

Like the other people out there on boards, how you are treated is directly correlated to how you behave. Act like a d!ck expect abuse and flaming. Act in a professional manner and we purr like kittens.

Its amazing how in the past some media outlets/businesses have just spammed each and every board. This doesn't reflect well on you guys at all. Your posts get deleted and some users get p!ssed off.

So just use it wisely, it will be better for everyone at the end of the day and if you guys as media outlets use boards properly it will benefit you in so many ways.

Just a note that adverts.ie is a free part of Boards.ie which you can buy and sell stuff from other users on, and especially for companies, may buy and sell services as some people are already doing. Try and keep any job ads, etc. over on that site as it gets more user coverage. Be sure to read the rules before posting though.

+1 to what Wilburt said about being idiot. "Love me as I have loved you". Boards users generally reply in that way. Don't bother expecting good responses if you're questions are ridiculous, or if you are actually trying to be stupid(Yes, a lot of people are like that). If your a newbie, be sensible and you will be treated as any other older user.

Don't shill, you will be found out, and you(and indeed whoever you're representing) will look like an idiot if you do. On a side note, I look forward to helping posters here and feel free to have a look around. (just my 2cents)

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
