    "Thread of the Day" is basically just a random thread in the last 24 hours.

    Sorry if you thought we we carefully selecting a new one each day behind the scenes :)

    But surely if it's random it could end up being a thread from yonks back that would just get dragged up by being shown?

    Or is it limited to threads that have been reasonably active in the last 24 hours or threads on the first page of forums or what? My curiosity has gotten the better of me now.

    They print out the names of all the threads posted in the last 24 hours, and have a 15 leg tournament each day where the names are posted on a dart board and whittled down that way.
