    does anyone know the name of the old irish song/poem that goes like this?
    at least i think its irish!!!

    it goes something like this...

    "im going to build a house.... awwwwww... a public house..yeaahhhhh"
    "theres only going to be one bar..awwwwww..it'll be a mile long....yeaahhhhh"
    "it'll close at 12....awwwwww..and open at 5 past....yeaahhhhh"
    "there'll be only one barmaid........awwwwww...for everyone!....yeaahhhhh"

    My mate from Donegal used to do this all the time.

    Haven't a breeze of the name though.

    Its not a song or a poem its just a joke.


    Theyre opening a house A public house
    Its only got one bar A mile long
    They dont serve points They serve buckets
    Theyve no tables or chairs Theyve beds
    In came a guard A ban guard
    Theyre wearing glasses and nothing else
    They put us in jail with a bunch of hooker
    They charge 2 euro we have ten
    Theres only one plant A hash plant

    Thats all i can remember and theres different versions
