Anyone seen this yet? Siting down now to watch, been dying to see, was a little disapointed with Benders Big Score, but hopefully they were just rusty for that, no excuse for this one!

I shall be picking up the DVD across the pond. I cannot wait. Out officially on June 24th I believe. I loved Benders Big Score, and am a Futurama nut so very excited.

Seen it! it's class, i also didn't think BBS was great but this is a vast improvement in my opinion. Very funny, & typically bizarre, outlandish plot! classic Futurama!

    are you serious?

I laughed twice.. and that was being generous.

awful waste of time and bandwidth, wait until it's on tv and if it's never on tv.. don't worry about it

Got it yesterday and had a quick flick through it. Cannot wait to sit down and watch it asap, even though I have the R1 DVD preordered.

    Yes, I am, obviously.....:)

    Do you even like Futurama?

A score of 9.4 on the IMDB! Roll on the next 2 movies...

Thought Benders Big Score was terrible, took me about 3 sittings to sit through it.

I think the first Futurama "movie" suffered from the same problem that besets all TV shows that do feature-length episodes (Simpsons & Sex and the City included); it's very difficult to keep the pace, and in comdies case, the laughs. Having said that, I thought "Benders Big Score" was a hoot when it hit the mark & certainly up to the usual levels the TV show did.

The trailer for "Beast with a Billion Backs" looks like we not only will get more Zap Branigan (who was shamefully absent in the first), but a plot that's just a bit more dodgy!

It's not a bad little film... but it's not terribly funny... they've gone with the most obvious jokes in a lot of cases and it's just simply not funny.

The main plot is interesting... Bender's subplot is not so interesting though. And the story just seems to be really, really dragged out... I couldn't believe how long it feels.

Colleen is pretty hot though... I wouldn't mind being one of her boyfriends...

i'd agree with most of your points there fudge, except for it not being a bad film :) I sat through it, and it didn't kill me or bore me terribly.. but it was meant to make me laugh. and just in case anyone is wondering, yes i was quite stoned when i watched it.

yes i was quite stoned when i watched it.

Odd, So was I, but I was thoroughly entertained!

I'm probably just easier to please...

i watched the first hour last nigth and to be honest i didnt find it all that great, though BBS was better. the new film just feels like a very, very long episode of the tv show as opposed to a movie.

didnt really laugh all that much either, maybe i need to watch it again when im not so tired...

Yep. There's no reason why this story couldn't have been told in a single episode.

I loved the story, it was some very original sci fi, one of the best stories in scifi in a long time. I didn't find it overly amusing, just interesting... although there were some classic scenes with zap.

I'm a big fan of it but have to say I didn'tenjoy this new one as much as benders big score. Not really funny at all maybe better on second viewing but doubt it.Where as Benders big score felt like a proper movie imo, this one just felt like a long bad episode that was just filling gaps between better ones.Role on the next two movies.

Thought it was poor - the last whipping of what seems to be a dead horse. Couple of funny moments, but not something I'd call essential viewing.

I thought BBS was much better, this had a few good laughs but not as many as I'd expect from Futurama.

Just after watching it and I have to say that I was disappointed. There were some great jokes
The scene with Bender and the Devil Robot was priceless
but overall it was a big let down.

The story would have suited a single episode but there wasn't near enough martial to fill the 86 minutes.

I loved it. Constant laughs, and a good, out their plot. Plus lots of Zap. It was everything Benders Big Score wasn't. Roll on the next movie.

PS: This one seems to be out on dvd on these shores at the end of the month, about a week after US release. Thank ****, they took ages from the US release of BBS to the UK/Irish release.

Yeah I thought it was poor also. It felt very laboured and I didn't laugh much throughout. Althought I did find Stephen Hawking's lines pretty funny.
