Would like to get to that, can't see me traveling to Cork though. Wonder what he's like these days?

B12 coming too in July to Dublin, that I will not miss for anything.

did a gig with him, he's worth seeing though generally he does old skool (as in really old skool acid house) well worth checking out a legend, he's a myspace page up, you can get an idea from that

I'd be quite happy to hear him do oldskool alright, he's someone that I have always wanted to hear live. Did you gig with him in recent years?

Love this X-Mix CD of his -

Suppose some of those guys could be a tad messed up by now... I take it you were in a state of euphoria induced by his tunes basically!

Yeah I'd say the hero meeting thing can be flawed alright, though I'd still like to meet lots of them though!

Out of interest, what other big names have you played a gig with over the years and who did stand up to the hero status? Did you ever play with Billy Nasty? He would have been one of my favourites back then, long queues to see him in the ToS. Love this more recent clip actually, you can see he is really diggin' the music... love the track too -

The track is 'Positive Contact' by Deltron 3030

the best was without a doubt Dave Angel-he stopped the crowd, inisisted on a shout out and the threw a load of his 12" onto my record bag, than came back to a sesh and insisted on putting non dance music on- a real gent.
worst was rob armani, i was doing a gig in the kitchen with him and Felix, at the end he was hassling jason (jdp) to get some "hoes" he was dressed on all the NY snicks BB gear. Felix (ya that one) says " rob whats that ****, you have stolen all my records" (and these were the trax records that armani had licensed and knicked out of felix's record bag!) so Armani was giving Felix all this "shut da **** up you my dog " suff to felix. My Ex says "stop saying that to felix he is lovely" and "you are a knacker"
So a friend of mine sticks on the fake ghetto accent and turns to Armani and says "Yo to rob, if a bitch said that to you in the ghetto you'd pop a cap on her mutha ****in' ass"
and armini replies in all seriousness "too damn right brother"
    I pissed myself laughing

lol, they are some memories to have... best I can say is sorting out a yoke for Dave Holmes in the ToS.. think it was him anyway, fuzzy memory and all that.

Never hear of Robert Armani these days... maybe that attitude put a stop to him. Felix obviously moved onto even bigger and better things. I only actually picked this nick as when I registered it was just to ask a question about weather in that section and I was listening to a Felix mix so thought that will do... didn't think I'd still be here 4 years later.

Looking forward to this gig also. Savoy is the only place that makes an effort on the guest dj front. At least all the lovely folk of Cork will be otheriwse engaged that night down at Clubland at the Marquee :D

You mean we'll have to miss Mickey Modelle and Cascada?

That really cuts like a knife...I had my Celtic shirt ironed and the Peugeot 205 was waxed an' all...
