    Hi Folks

Can anyone advise on whether a PVC kitchen is better than a painted one for long term maintenance. I am looking for a cream kitchen and have seen several PVC which (at least in showroom) look the same as wood. These appear to be easier maintain in that you can wipe them and the paint can't chip...

The other option was a pine painted kitchen..

    Any recommendations

    Thanks

Personally, I prefer a painted kitchen and am currently looking for a budget painted modern shaker style kitchen.

Is the painted pine relatively cheap? If so, where are you sourcing it? Do you know if they do shaker style?

    Thanks.

hi ive worked in the kitchen trade for the past 6 yrs and i find the painted kitchens are not as popular as the pvc doors as pvc is a more durable door, pvc has been upgraded to a much better finish in the last couple of years personally from dealing with customers that had painted kitchens they said they found they fade in colour very fast from exsposure to sun light and heat and if there are smokers in the house.

As a person who sells kitchens everyday i would strongly recommend purchasing a solid wood or pvc kitchen.

good luck in your quest whatever kitchen you choose to buy :)
