This is the poker forum. Not the speculate-on-who's-bust forum. The clue is in the name.

As for Hali, if he was playing 25/50 he must have been goofing around :)
I know Hali and I've watched him play Headsup Omaha for major stakes. It was... instructive. Imho, one of the best in the world at it.
200/400 would be more his stakes and from what I know of his ability I wouldnt be concerned about his roll, I have tried several times to get him to take my entire GJP roll and spin it :)

    DeV.

Hali is probably not bothered to write it but for the sake of thread completeness. $165k = "Meh"

Yeah it's disgusting tbh. He's in Australia and no one who has posted negatively in this thread has a clue what his BR is or how his year has gone.

He's also like 100 times better at omaha than both durr and golser. lol @ golser playing these tables actually. Very nice man but not a cash specialist imo.

Wow 100 times better than durrrr, so is there anyone on the same level as him? Or is it that he is so good that nobody will play with him?
I'm not slating him at all here. I think those defending him are getting a little bit carried away, not that he needs to be defended.
On the other end are those who know nothing about him and they really don't have a clue.

durrr crushes holdem but doesn't do so well at the omaharr athough I haven't kept up to date with the biggest winners over the last 4 months. That was mainly 2007.

I think Durr was up about 500k today at PLO.

how come he always plays short stacked though?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,698 ✭✭✭semibluff

chufty plays short too - and he's a big winner

  • Registered Users Posts: 446 ✭✭pppspecial

hali is well rolled for whatever game he wishes to play. hali is also very fond off jumping in and spinning up.
he is one of top 10 PLO in the world imo and will never go broke. he is 2 good.

  • Registered Users Posts: 208 ✭✭Headspace

nobody is too good to go broke and even though he is a gazillion times better than me he seems to be over estimated by certain members of this forum. If he was that good why dosent he play ftp all the time and why is he a looser according to high stakes db. Ok that site is not 100% accurate but if he was a winner in the big game then by the laws of averages HSDB would have him down as a winner

Also, LOL to anyone saying why is he down for the year if he is so good? What the **** is that about, Um..... there's this thing, and I know you don't want to believe in it, but, good players lose too.

Not that he is or not, just felt that variance had to be pointed out and that, well, its way higher in omaha too.
