infections appear everyday

    Hi
    I have a laptop running xp pro.
    I use both firefox and IE browsers.

    I have AVG 8.0 antivirus and Spyware doctor for spyware.
    I have windows start up scan for both of these.

    Every day these 2 tools find no virus but below
    AVG find some 70 warnings everyday about Adware.
    Spyware finds 70 infections which are not of high priority

    these are located in the browser folder (IE folder or Firefox)
    I delete these infections everyday

    But everyday they reappear in the scan results.
    Are these dangerous?
    how can i avoid them?

    any suggestions please....
