You will be fine, especially as you completed it. Many dont get it finished!

Dont say you have failed, as you have every chance of passing. Chin up mate:D

    Thanks =]

btw, im getting ahead of myself and counting my chickens, touch wood. but - What if i am away on holidays when i am scheduled for (if) going to the AC??

Im away on holidays last week in june and my results from my IST should be back around 14th June. Is it possible to reshedule AC's?

Yes you can change the date. You need to write to them and provide proof of why you cant attend eg: photocopy of hoilday tickets, work rota! So dont worry.

    Hi Stephen,
I was there yesterday too, I sat in the first available place and started talking to the guy sitting there, another guy then joined us, myself and the original guy went out for a ciggy and when we got back another woman had joined us, we had a great chat and a bit of a laugh which helped our nerves, we were the last up to register, and having people to chat to really helped the nerves, it was one of the guys second time, so he gave us a few hints.

Being local I was suprised I only knew one other person there and I only knew him by sight.

I got through part A no problem and had time left at the end, part B was a killer though, by the time I had read the data card then picking out bits of info and teaming them up to make an answer I was well behind...maths aint my strong point anyway!

The time just flew by, I took the odd sneaky glance at the guy next to me, he was flying on part B but not as fast on part A, He was wearing lovely aftershave too, which shows how easy it it to distract me !!!

congrats to papayankee and good luck to everyone who is awaiting results, I have a feeling I will be doing the IST again next year, at least I will be better prepared!!

Just out of interest, did anyone else know anybody in their IST? I knew someone from school days which was a bit strange!

Just remember, just 'cos the neighbour if flying through the questions doesn;t mean to say he is answering them right. Slow but sure ensures accuracy. I remember racing through a Civil Service multiple choice test a few years ago, and sat back with 10 minutes to go the end, quite happy with how fast I had completed the test. When the invigilator announced time was up i closed the answer book only to reveal another page on the back!!!!

I still passed it though, funny enough, but it was a very good lesson.

I'll remember that. I have an apptitude test for Civil Service (PSNI related job) next Friday. 15 questions in 12 mins, 18 questions in 15 mins and 58 questions in 6 mins. AHHHHHHHHHH:(

    Hi

Yes I have a lot of overseas addresses and also a large family etc etc.
Last time i got vetted inside 3 mths but have now been told by a good many people that it can now take up to a year!
Obviously my vetting will take the longest just to really wind me up he he. But i guess all this really determines if you really want this job and have the patience for it.
I am sure it will be worth it in the end as I want it more than anything.
    Alan
