If Maxi really is free Pool better pull out all the stops, but i think its a mistake, dont think he is.

<edit> just found this link which says he's at Atleti till at least 2010..its a very old link so the contract may have even been extended since then.

Arsenal could do worse than move for Canizares either. Almunia isn't top class, and Lehmann's moving on.

i cant believe schmichael is goin on a free, thats crazy coz i think he is a really good keeper with bucket loads of potential! i do believe that if cardiff had him in goal for the fa cup final we could have seen a very different outcome!

Gera is quality, I was amazed no-one signed him after WBA went down. But having helped get them back up I presume he'll stick with them.

Have a look a few posts back. I cleared up the Schmeichel thing. He ain't a freebie.

Well, if Gera and Campo were actually on a free they could be ideal for Stoke and Bristol / Hull who are desperately in need of those types of players.

Agree that Gera was really impressive the season WBA went down.

Lee Carsley can now be added to this list!

Would be a very good signing for any of the clubs that have come up. Main reason for leaving being that he wants to be closer to family (in Birmingham i think) so that probably narrows the field for him.
