I'm trying to ring them on 071 9119000 which is the hotel's number and only number they seem to have listed anywhere and nobody's picking up

I mean, that happens where I work sometimes but we have 2 freakin' employees. surely they have someone at that massive place to answer the feckin' horn.

You're right, thats the only number that is advertised on their website, even for the restaurants.
You'd think there would be a different number for the for the restaurant and reception.
    Are they not answering?

    25!!!!

Not been pesimistic or anything but it's doubtful that you will be able to book it for that many on a saturday night with so little notice!

Oh where did you get them in?

I'm surprised you got anywhere to be honest for two reasons,
    1) The short notice on a saturday night,
    2) The large amount of people.

Sure but I'm feckin' great :D

Nah I simply had a hunch that the Silver Apple wouldn't be full*, so I sold them on the idea of it (they had some crazy idea of wanting "Irish" food, pah!) and then phoned and sure enough!

*Because although it's a fabulous place, it's new and not too many people have had a chance to try it and fall in love yet, it was pretty empty when Mr. Xiney and I went a month and a half ago.

Nice work, seriously. ;) The Silver Apple really is great.

    PS: Remember Finland.

Or perhaps he's on his way back from the local takeaway with about 3 stone weight of chips and a couple dozen battered sausages.
