Websites to Check before purchasing UK car

    Hi, I'm thinking of buying a car in the UK shortly. The car in question is a 2001 Audi A3 with just over 50,000 miles. I'm just wondering what are the best websites for checking the history of the car, such as previous owners, accidents,etc...

    Cartell.ie offer UK Vehicle History, UK Finance Check, UK Security Check and UK National Mileage Register. However, i'm just wondering if there are any other sites that offer this kind of service. Has anyone any experience of these sites? I'd be very interested to know if the car has been clocked or not. Any advice appreciated. Sorry if this has been brought up before. Thanks

    Very first thing I would do is get the VIN from the seller and check with Audi UK and get the service history. If there's a full service history (I wouldn't bother without a full SH), then that should verify the mileage.
