    :)
I wasn't saying you've a problem with Jnr. I think he's great myself, his enthusiasm for the game is something else. He's not to some peoples liking which he knows himself, and he's not slow to pull the p!ss outta himself either.
I wouldn't have called you slow as such, methodical maybe

Howya kingdom, as hitman was sayin me,him and trigger(LOL) had no chance with our handicap thats my only complaint! It was well organised and on time unlike some comps:p i cant see the senior/inter/junior idea working as clubs such as ours would prob only get about 3/4 teams entered never mind qualified! But all in all i enjoyed it and cant wait to give it another go next yr(witout da other 2:D)

Welcome Mr Jingle, I've a fair idea who you are! Glad you enjoyed the competition, and good to hear positive reports about it.
I have to say sorry to the NEC. I had assumed they decided to make this a National Competition, but I was put in my box last night when I was told the delegates at Convention voted it in. So congratulations to the Union on running a successful competition.
Another aspect is that a lot of Junior and Inter players who normally wouldn't play in a National competition got to do so. I got to have a weekend off too so everyone's a winner.

    Collinstown Scr Cup results
    1 Liam O'Donovan Bruff 143
    2 William Buckley Erry 145
    3 Larry Maher Erry 145
    L18 Ian Farrelly Dullek 49
    Inter Mark Hogan 97
    Ladies Tracey McGrath 97

Ger wats up with ya bud, you aint got a bad 3-ball there with dillon and junior just take your own time, play your own game and dont mind wat anyone says to ya! Have ya played bridgets before think it should suit you fairly well. Lookin forward to it anybody can win it its just who turns up on the day!

Can't say I agree Mr Jingle, I think the scoring is going to be high enough. If it was 36 hole competition I'd agree with ya, but going back to 54 I'd say looking at the qualifiers there are maybe 5 players who have a chance, even more so if its anyway firm there.
Its hard to look past Downes at the moment.

I meant to ask does the northside have a seperate draw for the leinster matchplay or is it all together id so D Monaghan and B o Shea are the only 2 playing which is poor - whats the reason behind that

Just get the game out of the way as quick as possible so! You could ask the opponent to play 18 holes? :) Ye may get to play the matches on an earlier night due to walkovers? Who knows!
Is the draw anywhere? Who did the OC guys get?
Are there many northies going over to it? that would be a long trek for most of them.

If its all in then I'd imagine the long journey is behind it.
I'm all for the Leinster matchplay, I think its a good comp, but it always seemed to be perceived badly in Dublin for some reason.
Tbf to have midweek qualifying so soon after the National matchplay can be a bit of a strain on some people. This is where planning comes into it. I have always maintained that one of these matchplay competitions in Dublin should be played across a weekend, be it either of the matchplay quals or the Dublin mplay finals.
Loughlinstown is as entitled as any club to host qualifiers or finals, but midweek treks out there are hard and maybe a little unfair. But a weekend jaunt just isn't as hard.
There was a scramble on last weekend. If you took away that comp a slot would open up.

A bit of outside the box thinking thats all I'm saying.

Thanks Hitman, nice draw. 7 qualifiers is decent enough. A lot of good matches along the way. You must fancy your chances I'd say.

Is Anto Lynch a ex member of LTown?

Erry is a fine course, and its getting better. The Shortest is the 1st @ 33m, the longest is 62m (i think) up a hill. Not too many bunkers, a lot of shots up and down hills to slightly elevated greens. Scoring will be good over there, and its one place I'd like to avoid the locals if I were to qualify. The greens are very similar to Glenvilles in the type of grass on them, they are lovely to putt on and will be super come the finals.

Not sure of our draws tbh Hitman. I think William has Larry Maher again.
I know John Fleming is in my section, but I don't know who else. Qual is in Tullamore and John will fancy his chances around there.

another poorly formed joke Ger. I mean you have a set way of approaching shots and do it every time to precision. :)
I say joke because it was/is the way I do things too, and led to a shyteload of abuse from my buddy's.
Had to change those ways going down to Offaly though. Hold up Billy Snr and you take your life into your hands there!
