no they won't help you. i found something on the net about the lg prada. hopefully the menus are the same.

    the link is here:
    http://www.knowyourmobile.com/lg/lgke850prada/lgke850pradainternet/1932/setting_up_internet_on_the_lg_prada_phone.html

follow it's instructions except put in the following settings:

    Name: 3
Homepage:http://mobile.3ireland.ie/hb/HutchKey the captial H and K are important
Connection Type: maybe http. if that's not there, post back what options there are
    IP address:0.0.0.0
Port Number:0 (or try 80 if that doesn't work)
    Access Point:3ireland.ie

Cheers for the reply Sam.The menus are slightly different on the 990 but there was a link from that site that got me some information but still cant get it going. The options I have are
    Service name-which I put 3
    Homepage I entered as above.
Connection Mode-four options here,TCP with proxy and TCP without,UDP(CO) AND UDP(CL)
IP address, when I enter 0.0.0.0 as you said I get a "wrong port" message.
    Proxy server port-I tried 0 and 80
Access points-3 is the only option I can select other than Virgin GPRS which was on the phone.
So its really the IP address that is stopping me getting this going,so any idea where I might be able to go from here?
