As was announced at the League in Limerick, we are currently accepting proposals for a new venue for Round 3 of the MMA League. This round usually takes place in early August.

If you think your town would be a good site to hold the event then all you need to have there is
    • A hall, with mats big enough to hold the League
    • A reasonable catchment area for more than one MMA Club

So if you fancy having the League 10 minutes from your house, drop me a line on info at MMALeague dot com and start the ball rolling!

    Bump :)

I'd imagine whatever town/city was selected would have to be easily accessible to everyone in Ireland.

Waterford sounds good to me. Couple of mma clubs in that area, well connected city, has a train and buses. not too far from cork and limerick.

    donegal? really far away though

    Waterford all the way.
Is that Pat Rockett's karate place doing MMA now? anyone know if it's any good?

Everyone is doing "MMA" now. I haven't been to Pat Rockett's, so I can't comment on it. But I haven't heard anything about them in terms of MMA, so I'll be sure to stay away from it.

Waterford is easy to get to - it's just getting someone to organise it down here. I could give a hand where needed. The WIT hall would be more than big enough to host it and we have mats for judo down here - although if we needed a more than one matted area, we'd need to loan mats from the other waterford judo club.

Locations are really moot unless someone is willing to organise it.

It doesn't matter whether it's a good location or not if nobody on the ground is willing to organise an event there!

All I need is contact details for a hall with mats and first aid and I will do the organising. I need a man on the ground to suss out venues and get that contact detail, the rest (fingers crossed) I will be able to handle.

Sounds great. Kilkenny Top Pro used to run kickboxing events out of O'loughlin Gaels if that's of any help.
