    Hey Tom,
I worked down there for a season before and the Greeks have lots of laws protecting their Seas from Divers.
i.e. No Night Diving unless permits have been handed out
Only designated spots can be dived on, etc.
So this hinders where you can dive and therefore the quality (i.e. 4 boats on 1 dive site with 2 directions to go)

All in all our dive sites were low - average on the scale of interesting (keeping in mind I was a tropical water diver :D). It's a long time ago now but I do remember that any experienced divers (i.e. had dived many sites accross the world) found it dull and any beginers/intermediates found it interesting.

    I was on Kos Btw.

    Hope this helps.

I dived Kos last Sept having prev dived Fiji and Thai. Definitely less interesting, but got lucky and saw Octopus, cuttlefish and congar eel on one dive so was happy enough. Over the other side of the island was snorkelling one day and I've never seen visibility like it, feck all in the water but beautiful.

I think diving anywhere is subject to luck / visability, but I certainly wouldn't go to Kos purely to dive.

    Dive club members/CFT etc.

Dived Crete yonks ago, great vis but all else piss poor. Got lumbered with leading a dive consisting of a French guy who was OK and a Yank who was a total tit.

Show your card, not your logbook would be my advice, your logbook will show experience above the normal holiday PADI diver and you risk being sucked into the scenario above - leading a dive, by the lazy DO.
