Seriously - what sort of lazy ****er doesn't shower every day?

    If I don't get a shower once a day I feel like a dirtbag.

It's funny to see some guys in their 20's who seem to be still going through their 'My Ma's not here to tell me to do things so I don't have to!' phase.

"I can stay up as late as I want anytime!"
"I don't have to brush my teeth at all!"
"Showering is for girls! I only shower after sports!" (Pro Evo doesn't count as sport loser)

    Have a wash ya hippies!

This post reminds of me of the ridiculous argument I overheard at College Green between a couple. "Remember that thing about washing your hands after going to the toilet? That is not negotiable! Ok?" to a not particularly listening male other half.

A shower a day keeps the flies away

    Most people do.

I have yet to experience your odour up close so can't tell.

But - why not be on the safe side, eh? Do everyone else on public transport a favour?

I shower every morning if possible. If not then I'll at least get my towelling glove and give my shuch a good scrub to get rid of any arse hay that has developed.

    "That's YOUR policy, NOT mine!"

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

    your attempts at insults :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Which side is the safe side?
What favour can I do everyone else?
I dont know how to answer your two questions!
Or maybe you didn't mean them as questions perhaps you see these "?" as pointless little marks to be put at the end of sentences!

As it happens i shower twice daily but only because i cycle to work and home in the evenings so am quite sweaty from physical exertion however I don't feel people who live sedentary lives need to shower every day, if they choose to so be it but i don't see this "need". Perhaps during the summer there is a greater "need" to shower every day.

Shower every second day, but I do WASH myself on the days I don't

Only shave every second day. GF likes the scruff :D

Nope they were both questions. Both were fairly easy to understand. If you're having trouble don't worry about it. It's fine.

The safe side is the washing daily side. Because - let's face it, what harm is going to come from that? Answer: none.

(See the way I answered my question there for you because you seem to find it a bit tough?)

The favour one can do others on public transport is washing themselves daily so other people don't have to be pressed up against a stinking person on their way to work in the morning.

Also - the questions weren't so much directed at you in particular as people in general. I was using them as a jibe at you, yes. But also using them as questions posed to anyone who may not think it necessary to give themselves a regular scrub.

    Both were statements!

    huh the washing daily side:confused:
Are you suggesting I wash only one side daily?

why not be on the safe side, eh?

Starts with the word why and ends with a question mark. Let me see. Yup. That's a question.
Do everyone else on public transport a favour?

Ok. This one I grant you could be taken either way. However the question mark at the end should have clued you in that it was a question with a presumed 'why not' at the start.

While your attempts at anal nit-picking are amusing to me you're really stretching it trying to convince me that you don't understand fairly basic posts.

    (Anal nit-picking! :D)

I think that the above is a very valid point.

Some of us sweat far less than others.
Personally I rarely sweat outside of the summer months.
    I don't need deoderants.

If somebody give off a whiff of B.O. it is likely that they are just a sweaty person. It is probably not an indication of lack of showering.

Out of curiosity: what's the point in showering before going to bed (unless you're not going to have one the next morning)?

I shower nearly every day but the odd day I don't feel at all stinky so I don't bother (that would only be when the weather's cold though). I have very dry skin so there's no harm in giving it a bit of a break now and again. And yeah, I don't sweat much either.

every day minimum, twice if i'm heading out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 442 ✭✭Papillon87

Once a day usually. Then if I'm going out I'll have one whilst getting ready.

I shower every second day. don't need to do it every day as I don't sweat that much. Plus I have long hair so drying it each day is too meh for my liking, also it would be very damaging.

I shower mostly in the evening before bed, it feels great getting into bed all clean and sparkly and then not having to worry about getting a shower in before heading to work, it's a convenience thing really, I get up at 6.20 which is early enough tbh, if I had to shower and dry my hair I'd prob have to get up at 5.50am:eek:
I don't sweat overnight (unless it's a hot summer's night) so I still wake up as clean as when I went to bed!

My mother told me the other day ya lose nearly a pint of liquid from your body each night, its why bed sheets every twn days or so!

As for showers, they'd be daily, but there is one exception. If I'm not leaving my house for a few days(2 or 3...4 at a big stretch), I'd leave on the clothes from the first morning, then just laze about for the time in my pyjamas:D:eek::o. So on one hand disgusting, on another, its so lazy its great.

Also prefer showers in the morning, really does wake me up, gets me going for the day. May need a second shower during the summer months, after matches and training and the sort, so love those ones before bed too!

Seriously I don't. I'm one of those cold creatures so it takes a lot to make me sweat. But if Yore Ma told ya... it must be true...... :D

I have a shower before work and after as walking usually running from ward to ward makes a girl sweaty.

No, its something that happens everyone, ya dont notice it(unless its one of those crazily warm nights where it wakes ya up). But mostly, you just sleep on blissfully unaware of whats going.

And shut it with that second comment haha:D

Pffft. I fill a bath at the beginning of the week and use that water over and over again. Once you boil it, all the badness goes away, right?

Water is precious, lets conserve it.

3 times a day. Once when I wake up, once after college before I go to work and once after work before I go to bed. Anything less is just smelly.
