Muting players in Multiplayer GTA IV?

    XBOX 360 platform.

    Maybe I'm being dense but I couldn't find a way to mute a player in multiplayer. This could be a problem if there isn't a way due to the amount of arseholes on XBOX live who like to shout/sing/generally splutter down the mic.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    do you have a headset?
    under personal settings -> Voice control ( I think ??)
    I usually end the voice output to the head set and then turn the vol down. you might be able to do this even without the headset?

    That will turn everyone off though. I'm looking to just mute problem players. You can do this in Halo 3 easily. I just can't find the option in GTA.
