Werewolves and vampires are both gay. Zombies are way cooler.

    Ahh but
The werewolves from Dog Soldiers, Ginger Snaps and Oz from buffy as well as the Entire british royal family tip the odds in the favour of werewolves.

Nice try lordo, but no deal. Let's take this thing play by play:

    The Lost Boys

    - Have their own lair.
    - Order out.
    - Hang out with the Frog Brothers (huh!).
    - Love practical jokes (maggots, you're eating maggots).

    Dog Soldiers

    - Are soliders.
    - Are dogs.
    - Eat whatever's lying around.

    Dracula's Bitches

    - There are three of them.
    - They get their baps out.
    - Winona Ryder.

    Ginger Snaps

    - Only two of them.
    - Both jailbait.

    Angel

    - Had his own network TV show.
    - Was buffing Buffy.

    Oz

    - Did not have his own network TV show.
    - Turned Willow gay. (I guess he's not all bad).

    Count Chocula

    - Successfully grew small food concern into a nation's favourite undead-themed cereal.

    British Royal Family

    - Couldn't manage their way out of a paper bag.

    So, Vampires 4 - Werewolves 0.

    That's 7 - 0 on aggregate lads.

Zombies are just retarded animated dead who have no clue what they are doing and are rather boring.

No one has mentioned Van Helsing where they actually had a Vampire fight a Werewolf.

Also Vamp from Metal Gear Solid 2 was also baddass

    Count Duckula ftw.

Chinese vampires films are also good.

    Dog soldiers was good too.

what happens if a vampire / werewolf bites the other ???

what was the best Vampie vs Werewolf movie?

Hmm, can't remember the name of the film, for Vampires... but the one with Brad Pitt was decent.

As for Werewolves... honestly can't think of a GOOD film :/

Oh nice try horsey, but you're not getting away with that...

    Dog Soldiers
    - Are soliders.
    - Are dogs.

they are neither, however they make light work of british special forces, and regular forces. That against the lost boys, with their 80's hair. This one is going to the werewolves from Dog Soldier
    Dracula's Bitches

    - There are three of them.
    - They get their baps out.
    - Winona Ryder.

    Ginger Snaps

    - Only two of them.
    - Both jailbait.

Winona Ryder? Pffft. Get out of here. Ginger and Brigitte would maul them. And not in the good las vegas way (also neither's jailbait. the one who played Ginger is 25 and the other one is even older)
    Angel

    - Had his own network TV show.
    - Was buffing Buffy.

    Oz

    - Did not have his own network TV show.
    - Turned Willow gay. (I guess he's not all bad).

Angel also got fat and his show was terrible, Oz bailed while 'buffy' was still decent and was getting into Willow, who was by far and away the hotter of the two.
    Advantage Oz.
    Count Chocula

    - Successfully grew small food concern into a nation's favourite undead-themed cereal.

    British Royal Family

    - Couldn't manage their way out of a paper bag.

British royal family owned 1/4 of the world by contrast Count Chocula has a mildy popular cereal.
Even currently they own more land and most people and count chocula has none. And seeing as only gentry own land, count chocula cannot be a count, and ergo is stripped of his title.
Mr Chocula isn't going to be doing much for the vampire cause now that he's a landless, titleless peasant.

    4-3 to the Lycans, methinks!

Vampires always turn out to be pussies...

    and whats with Atari Jaguar??
Its an option in almost every poll here!

Oh, look! I am alive for all eternity! I must spend it moping around and worrying about losing my humanity (even though I'm not human anymore!)

Interestingly enough (or not), the Vampire the masquerade/ werewolf the apocalypse RPGS had rules for this. The resultant creature was called an abomination (or a chas chara in Garou tongue, the werewolves language, which is based on a mish mash of real world Celtic language) and are spurned by both werewolves and vampires. Apparently, being allergic to both silver and sun sucks.

Why was there such an obsession with werewolves in the 80s?

An American Werewolf in London (1981)
    Thriller video (1983)
    The Company of Wolves (1984)
    Teen Wolf (1985)

In the 90s there was just the lame Jack Nicholson/Michelle Pfeiffer vehicle Wolf, which was nowhere near as successful as any of the above.

Surely there is a sociological explanation? Was it a swipe at 80s greed maybe...? Or did people just think werewolves were pretty cool?

Oh yeah, The Lost Boys (1987) and The Howling (1980).

I'd imagine there are a lot more films with everything 90s and after. The medium rather than the idea.

And where the **** was the vampire in the Matrix Reloaded!?

Werewolves seem fairly thick. But they could tear you apart like a twig.

Vampires seem deeper and darker though. Like they have reason to kill their prey.

    Vampires (Y).

One of the old agent type programmes The Merovingian had as guards, his wife said they could only be killed with a silver bullet and were the origin of the werewolf myth. Not sure it really deserves to be on the list for that myself though. Feel the same about Mortal Kombat Annihilation too, just because the Indian shamen's annimosity was a wolf I don't think really makes it a werewolf reference.

Werewolves are much cooler than vampires and I reckon they'd be a lot harder to fight.

I bet Mario could beat them both up though.
