:Ok men, you meet a girl and realise you could spend your life with her.
But your a BGRH brother - so no gussy feelings are allowed to show:p

How do you, in your own 'special' way show this woman that she's the one?

I grew up with sisters and have no male friends
So, this is for science purposes only:o

Im not sure what you mean obviously if you feel there is long term potential then you must somehow communicate this eh

I believe the standard practise in these parts is a marriage proposal though I dont know why people do that

Edit: PS: is this a PI type thing?

Slap on the arse and a wink. That's as far as long term intention should go. After that it's purely accidental...........

I'd change that slightly to be a "condescending slap on the arse."

Don't wink - you may miss a key moment while watching sport / pron / whatever (unless you have Sky+ of course).

Stick her head underneath the duvet and fart. She will feel the warmth all throughout her nostrils (fart again, and she will taste your love)

    Tough question Lou.

I'd say we are not all as tough or manly when we are with our OHs. So from private time I think the lass should have a fair idea.
As for when we are with friends, dont hope for too much. A few of those 'in love eye contacts' followed by a warm smile (when the lads aint looking of course) is as much as could be expected.

But we all differ. Many of the previous answers may well be very serious. There may be many worse to come.

I asked mrs trout ... "back in the day ... how did I show you, you were the one ?"

When she stops laughing, I'll be sure to post back. Might take a while. ;)

Strangest thread I've walked into in BGRH. I like it! :D

But if you're looking for serious answers Lou I'd take it...() Well to be honest, I'm not sure where to take it but here is not the right place.

The brothers aren't the type to show affection (bar the odd pat on the bum of course). Just look how they panic at the idea of it! :D

Agreed, I is rightly confused after these.

Lou either wants serious answers, in which case I'm in before the lock, or BGRH answers, in which case there won't be many "real" answers.

BTW, love the old-school Zaphod tak :D

I take it from your other posts you're not a dude and asking this question from the other side. When you lecture him for half an hour and he doesn't get angry, that's when you know you've broken his spirit - I mean that's how he lets you know you're the one.

Well look a ways south of your BG, grab the oul nuts* and just tell her, " I could see us being happy a year from now". Leave that one to simmer.

    *Metaphorically of course.....:D

    Heads back to PI............:D

PS if it goes pear shaped in 6 months and she brings that up just inform her quietly that you're not Uri Geller or mystic Meg. Add for the full BGRH effect "are you still here?". Further still make sure you have access to emergency medical services as you're likely to need it after that.
