Leaving cert results day or college final results day or Paddys day 2007 when I was on a vendor trip to Austin Texas last year. Glorious weather, cheap drink, and a great night on the tiles where us Irish were adored by the crowd. The best fun day ever was when I went to Alton towers in October 02. Went on Nemesis around 10 times. Small queues rule!

hmmm, a few. as a kid, winning the U11 camogie player of the year award when i was just 9 years old, i hadnt expected it, and everyone was so pleased for me, just felt so proud.

another was, in the days i was overcoming a serious illness, i went to the park with two friends, and an assortment of hurls, sliotars, and a soccer and american football. just a beautiful day, i think twas february, but seemed like the first day of summer. good time, good friends, and just this sense of freedom, it was beautiful.

second day at rock am ring last summer was amazing. awesome friends, music, just one of those weekends i'll always look back on, thinking about the good ol' days, and good mates.

first day in new zealand, meeting my boyfriend in person for the first time. felt like meeting an old friend for the first time in years. good times from then on :D

easter monday. spent the day rockclimbing in 20 odd degree heat, on the headland of a beach, blue sky, beautiful green/blue sea, just this amazing freedom, and the physical exercise of trying *not* to fall into the rocky sea below added to the adrenaline buzz, particularly after almost falling... but went from the rockclimbing, to chilling, having a puck around on the beach, and then for a swim, fully clothed in the sea. it was just a beautiful beautiful day, good company, good weather, atmosphere, and one of those days where you're just so grateful for life, and know that this is what it's all about.

best entire day would be hard to call, best moment would be easier; 3 off the top of my head

liverpool winning champs league in May 2005 and then heading to orlando the next morning and seeing pissed liverpool fans still crawling around O'connell street from the night before.

Roscommon winning minor all-ireland in Ennis September 2006, amazing celebrations at the end, then seeing the bonfires on the road as soon as we entered county galway is something i will never forget, i had to leave the celebrations to go to my friends wedding in galway city which went on till 11am the next day

Two nights before Wrestlemania 22 in Chicago when we got pissed with the WWE Wrestlers in their hotel and stayed up all night drinking until 8am and then went swimming when the hotel desk wouldn't give us a bottle of champagne
Is there nowhere to celebrate it in Co. Roscommon?

    No, didn't think so, sh*thole!

well they have 10,000 people on the streets of roscommon town in the pissing rain that night after the cup arrived, i wasn't there because obviously i was in galway and i lived there then; but from those that were there i hear it was quite a good party, it went on all night :D

if you came from somewhere amazing like Barcelona, Las Vegas, san francisco, Venice, Hong Kong or Innsbruck i could sympathize with you calling roscommon a sh*thole but more than likely you come from somewhere in ireland and there is nowhere on this island so good that one can describe somewhere else as a sh*thole and thats the sad fact i am afraid and i have been all over this island and its islands..........

I actually feel genuinely sorry for anyone who's "best day of their life (so far)" is the day the team they support won something. You poor, poor people.

You're obviously not supporting the right teams.

    Galway city.

yeah its good but it aint that good, i lived there 2 and half years so i know how good it is. Pub scene excellent, nightclub scene terrible, there is only so much crappy halo, cps and karma with its stupid beats added into the tracks one can take

one tesco in the whole town, thats the same as roscommon town some 15 times smaller  large parts of galway city without proper amenties; 2 years to finish eyre square, awful transport infrasture in and around the town, no investment in salthill (which could be a goldmine if marketed properly) and a public transport system that can only be described as a complete joke, bus drivers turning up when they like, buses never running on time

galway needs huge investment if it were ever to be seen as a world class city/town

Any summer's day with fine weather when I was either cruising off the West Coast or on the inland lakes. To give an example, here's the Cliffs of Moher from an angle you may not be used to. Oh, and that's me swimming :)

A lot of people can't believe that these pics were actually taken in Ireland

The best day of my life was when i dischaged myself form hospital after trying to take my own life last November.

While i was still suffering, i could see some light at the end of the tunnel and was for the first time aware that my family and freinds were there for me and that so many people cared about me. The amount of ppl that called me up and went out of their way to meet me and help me was really a great thing for me.

I couldn't pick a day but I've a few best moments. Junior Cert results would have to be up there, days with friends, moments with ex-boyfriends, those kind of things....
