    I'm on Vodafone here, and looking at a couple of Vodafone UK simlocked phones on eBay - do I even need to get the phone unlocked at all, or should my Irish vodafone SIM work in it?

    If a phone is locked to Vodafone UK, you will need it to be unlocked to work with Vodafone Ireland

    Can be done by code but its not free. There is no free Samsung calulator like Nokias. Send me PM if you need details

    Have also read that o2 will unlock the code if you are travelling to a country where they dont have a roaming agreement.

    Can anyone help me unlock a SonyEricsson W810i. I'm swithcing from Meteor to Vodafone.

    I rang Meteor to get the 5 digit unlocking code and they said it takes 3 to 5 working days. Is that actually how long it takes or do they drag it out because you're leaving the network and is there a way I can do it now?

    Having being searching for a free unlocking solution for a couple of bb5 phones I have came across these sites - one even has downloadable software - supposed to be from the infamous dejan - the master phone unlocker - I have not tried these as I need a serial cable - usb cable won't do - but someone on here might have a try and fill us in on how they got on??

    This solution was released last year almost a year ago at the beginning of May and there are lots of discussions previously in this thread and others about it. It works alright but only with a few phones
